GenesisCare, Victoria is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre. In this role you will be responsible for providing best practice oncology nursing services and consistently demonstrating high standards of clinical, administrative and patient care.

What's the role:

The registered nurse provides comprehensive care to the patients at GenesisCare following the principles of evidenced based best practice.

  • Assesses and plans nursing care for the patient using GenesisCare templates
  • Administration of medications as per GenesisCare policy and procedure
  • Performs nursing observations as per policy and procedure
  • Attends to nursing procedures following competency assessment and/or education.
  • Contemporaneous documentation of patient care
  • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients, family and friends
  • Provides comprehensive patient education as per GenesisCare policy and procedure
  • Collaborates with oncologists and the multidisciplinary team
  • Maintains a safe and clean environment working within GenesisCare Policy and Procedure
  • Maintains own professional development to align with AHPRA requirements
  • Protects patients and their families by adhering to infection control policy and procedure
  • Maintains patient and organisation confidence by adhering to policy and procedure
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships
  • Resonate with the high performance GenesisCare culture

Who we're looking for:

  • Completion of a Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Clinical experience as a nurse and a demonstrated understanding of oncology and allied health care.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients, families and carers
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles.
  • Strong commitment to quality patient care.
  • Demonstrated professional reliability, motivation, initiative and flexibility.
